Our team

Anaïs Bach

CEO & Co-Founder of hummingbirds
Anaïs brings 15+ years of strong international corporate background in the energy sector with diverse experiences from field environment and safety engineer to international business development manager and operational managing director. For the past 5 years, she has dedicated herself to climate strategy and ultimately joined TotalEnergies' head office in Paris to support the creation of a Nature-based Solutions business unit as project developper, then as Head of Operations. Anaïs, originally from New Caledonia, spent over 30 years in Asia Pacific and holds an engineering degree from the French Ecole Centrale de Nantes. She cares deeply about ecosystem preservation and aligning societal, gender and economic development with that. To support the Voluntary Carbon Market necessary scale-up with more agility and efficiency, she co-founded hummingbirds with Damien, a serial impact entrepreneur.

Damien Ricordeau

Chairman & Co-Founder of hummingbirds
After graduating from Paris Dauphine University’s Master in Corporate Finance and Financial Engineering, Damien started his career in 2008 in private equity by joining the Groupe Edmond de Rothschild where he was part of the investment team for several participations in fast-growing SMEs. Building upon 5 years of buy-side experience, Damien decided in 2013 to turn towards green finance and founded Finergreen, a boutique advisory specialized in the energy transition. After 3 years of fast growth on the French market, Damien took the company global, starting in Africa (2016) and shortly after in Asia (2017), in the Middle East (2018), in Latin America (2018), and in the rest of Europe (2020). This strategy has enabled Finergreen to assert itself as a worldwide actor for renewable energy project finance. To support further the transition towards sustainability and to act on climate change, he decided early 2022 to put his extensive experience and network at the service of accelerating the deployment of nature-based solutions and co-founded hummingbirds with Anaïs.

We value our team above everything else because we believe ordinary people can do the extraordinary when they feel respected, empowered and driven by a higher collective purpose!
